Rapper Offset Hit with Tax Liens

Shortly after singer Kardi B filed for divorce from him, the rapper was hit with tax liens.

Rapper Offset has been hit with two separate tax liens totaling $1.6 million. The news comes after his wife, singer Cardi B, filed for divorce.

Offset, 32, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was notified of the first federal tax lien in April, amounting to $1,575,266. A second lien for $32,963 was issued on June 11. Cardi B’s name was not included on either document.

Cardi B’s representative confirmed that she had filed for divorce from Offset for the second time. Cardi B, 31, is seeking primary custody of the couple’s two children, daughter Kulture, 5, and son Wave, 2.

Offset gained fame as a member of the hip-hop group Migos. In 2017, Offset released an album that reached the top ten on the Billboard 200 and featured the single “Ric Flair Drip,” peaking within the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. In 2018, Offset featured on Tyga’s single “Taste,” his first top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100 as a solo artist.
